Keep Update 07/24/2008

Three times in a row, this is turning into a habit ;) Anyway, seems news are popping up more often lately, so here's what's new this week:

:thumb: OLD FRIENDS RETURN
The Diablo III announcement made several old-timers return to the site and Diablo II modmaking. One of them is FoxBat, who even released a new version of his long-running Seven Lances mod. The new release has the patch number of v1.27 and it's compatible with 1.09, 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12. Read some more about this blast-from-the-past mod and download it here.

 OLD FRIENDS GO
This week also features some sad news - two mod forums have been moved to the Unsupported Mods category. They have been inactive for a long time, but we kept their forums where they were out of pure respect, because their authors were major names on the modmaking scene:
  • Varaya&Khan - often referred to as the V&K team, and also as the fathers of Diablo modmaking. Their Middle Earth mod, once for original Diablo and later for Diablo II, is one of the longest running projects in the Diablo modmaking history. Sadly, they both have been inactive for too long and their forum slowly became deserted.
  • Phrozen Heart - the founder of this site, enough said. He has been gone for years and his mod forum for Pagan Heart was forgotten.
Of course, their mods are still available for download in our database and you can still post in their forums, but since the authors are gone, don't expect any support from them. Click here to download the latest version of Pagan Heart and here for the latest version of Middle Earth.

:crying: OLD FRIENDS GONE
And since we're on the topic of old-timers, I decided to feature a screenshot from one of the oldest mods for Diablo II - namely the Ancestral Recall mod by TeknoKyo. He shows everyone how the Cow Level should have been done in the first place. Enjoy this rusty old screenshot here, and if you feel like playing the mod, visit TeknoKyo's site.

Enough with the babbling, we have mods to make and play! :IOI:
