Mod releases have always been a priority on this site, so first things first. The first new release that we announce in 2009 was made by Demon9ne - he updated his Immersion mod to v1.04b. Here is the download link and here is the link to the Non-Hosted Mods thread, where you can read more about the features of the mod or share your feedback with other players and the modmaker.

As years pass, less and less people are interested into being active on a Diablo 2 modmaking site and that's no surprise to anyone. This also applies to people who have kept the site alive in the past (aside from Myhrginoc, who already announced his resignation) and were part of the senior staff. We're very grateful to those people for their work, but it appears they have moved on, at least for now. Joel, RicFaith and Malachai29 are now Retired Senior Moderators. If any of them return permanently, their Senior Moderator access will be restored if they still want it.

The same thing applies to many modmakers - it seems modmaking has lost its appeal to them and they have moved on to different activities. The following mod forums have been moved and are now located in the Unsupported Mods category:
Sanctum Arcanum by jbouley
Hades Mods by Hades
Dragons' Uprising by reiyo_oki
d2:elements by Char
Mods by GuyAskingQuestion by GuyAskingQuestion
The forums are, of course, still open for discussion, but don't expect any replies from the authors. If any of these modmakers return and decide to continue the work on their projects, let me know and I'll restore the forums to their original location.

In preparation for the release of Diablo 3, we have opened a new gallery for Diablo 3 screenshots on the Phrozen Keep, hoping that some day users will upload images from Diablo 3 mods in it! In addition, the dimensions of the images that you're able to upload has increased from 800x600 to 1600x1200, in order to support the higher resolution screenshots from Diablo 3, and filesize went up too. For now, I have placed 4 screenshots in the new gallery, but feel free to upload more (your images will have to be approved by the administration before they are publicly visible).

About a week ago, Blizzard added a minor media update to their Diablo 3 official site. The new images include a couple of new artwork pieces, screenshots of some foggy areas around New Tristram, as well as several new captures of the 3 announced character classes.
This is all for now, until next time.
