A Google search bring me this (random hints)
Every person who uses the Spanish or German versions of Diablo II crashes the game when the put they cursor over any runeworded weapon that gives aura (Beast, Doom). Even looking at it through the trading window.
patchstring.tbl - fixes the aura crash in the German and Spanish games
now, there seems to be a solution.. I'm playing the German version of
>Diablo. As the mouse will hover over the runeword item, and as f.e. Bramble
>has an aura - HANG!

downloaded the english dll - extracted it and replaced the german
> dll. Now all works fine and I got english text - yeah. I always
> wanted to do that.
the issue has been resolved. It's a bug in the german version of the d2 dll
file. I switched to the english file and it works now. There's also a patch
available (inofficial) for the german dll.
I'm not aware of the problem, but a simple patchstring.tbl editon for the German version seems to solve it. I hope the english DLL are not needed, as they're unuseable on Mac.

to fix you need to change both variable in txt string
as far as i remember one is %s
so if %s was first..it needs to be last

Since the previous post is fifteen months old, it is doubtful N00pX will read your answer... Please check post dates before responding to questions.
