[Any Versions] sprite limit
How to removed the sprite limit. Objects, Players, Monsters, etc will no longer go invisible when there are a lot of missiles / sprites on the screen.

This requires rewriting the ptView constructor to allocate more than 3000 slots (they are shared between tiles/shadows/units), and then you need to shift all the references to the members after the slot pool as well. An alternative is to rewrite the render chain builder and walker for shadows so that a unit only occupies 1 slot for itself and its shadow (instead of 2 separate slots). As a plus the builder is also the place to rewrite if you want to support drawing farther into the world.

It was done in last Eastern Sun patch, you can ask AlphA for a starting point i think.
