This is only from testing the skill tab backrounds have not been finished yet.
Sometimes we win with greater firepower, through sheer numbers or more powerful weapons, but for the most part it is knowledge that defines our victories. Know something and it has lost its power over you.

[Character] - The Dark Hunter

Post by Joel » Tue Mar 16, 2004 9:27 pm

Dark Hunters are ancient members of the Order of the Morgoth Druids.
Long ago, these respected clerics were the guardian of the Fringe,
a wastelands area where lied a strange artifact : the Oblivion Stone.
This artifact was radaiting a strange chaotic energy that corrupted
a ever growing parts of this regions. For centuries, Morgoth Druids
slayed large amount of strange monsters and foes, securing a larger
parts of these unwelcoming lands. After years of relative calm, the
beasts from the Wastelands start to troam deeper and deeper in the
Realms. While trying to face these dangers, one faction of the
Morgoth Order decided to go trough the Wastelands and destroy the
Oblivion Stone. Not to avail ... Once the Stone was destroyed, a
wave of unholy energy blasted everything around, destroying the
fragile magical barrier built by the Druid to protect the Realms.

From these days, Morgoth Druids have disappeared. Strange tales speak
of dark, strange men roaming around the former Wastelands border. These
tall stranger wears old, decaing beasts hide and carry some strangely
designed bows. They're told to be able to communcinate with the Other
World and to conjure Shadows in our world. Master of hunting and trapping,
the Dark Hunters are feared all over the Realms. More than their strange
ways, theur unknown motives make them dangerous foes.

[Character] - The Templar

Post by Joel » Wed Mar 17, 2004 11:18 pm

The rise of the Prophet Fazran'Alid'Logar has ended for more than five centuries now
but his followers has founded a new religion based on his teaching of peace and freedom.
The Church of the Eternal Flame are now thee major religion across the Realms, whipping out
a large variety of older, pagan religions. To sustain this hegemonia, the Clergy created various
religious order to preach the True Faith across the lands. One of these order, the Templar are
the most feared one. Half soldier, half cleric, Templars were used to maintain orders in rogue
towns or lands. As times goes, most rulers, kings or leaders went under the influence of the
Templar order. Nowadays, the influence fo the Templar are almost tangible. No one can't
officialy stand against the True Faith without risking his own life.

For some years, Templars seems to try to overcome an unseen force. No one really nknow
what they seek, what they fear. The only fact is that THIS seems to be a major
pain for the whole order. Their grisp over the Realms start to become stronger as
new members are sought after and send to the furthest frontier of the World.

@BrotherDog:The missing buttons are because the skilltree background hasn't been changed, so probably there will be no more skills.

@Declined: No, I was thinking WC3 as well

Well, I didn't bother changing the skill background for those early test. We have yet to find a suitable and good looking theme for the GUI.

1] You forgot to put them in the correct order. :D
2] Arch of the Covenant does a D1 type CL, which is more like lightning fury.
3] Glad to see you didn't butcher the skill names this time. :)
4] I don't know if the hoi polloi know what a 'hunting' missile does. ;)
5] Typo: Anathema says it steals life based on 'Crusade' skill level, which should of course be Anathema skill level. :D Shoot me.
