In light of the upcoming move of the PhrozenKeep I have added a "News" page at the Wiki for announcements of this nature. It will help to ensure that no one is left in limbo after the move. It can also be used for other important announcements relating to the Mod.

I am also in the process of updating the links to here that we have in the Wiki and should be finished by the end of today. If you find any broken links after today, please let me or one of the other organisers (JrEye, Hans, Phlebiac) know about it and we will do our best to sort it.

First of all I like to say to all the people who visited the Wiki during the move of the Keep to our new home a big thank you. We had many discussions including some new things added to the Wiki. We are happy that the Keep is up and running.

1.) We added a Hireling Section.
2.) We just added a personal pages section so players can post their personal experience playing the mod. To set up a page please join the Zy-El Wiki and ask a Zy-El Wiki Organizer to set it up for you.

A few changes have recently been made to the Wiki, namely we now have a "Characters" page which details the skill trees and levels required for each skill for each of the seven character classes. We also have a "Hirelings" page which lists the mercenaries available in each act with a skills progression table for each of them (thanks to Hans for this) and finally a "Players Tavern" where you can add your own personal page(s) detailing your exploits in the Mod and other trivia.

Al and myself have decided to unlock many pages in the Wiki to make it easier for people to add to it.

The organizers will look at the changes and make any corrections if needed.

Just to add to what Hans has said. We have the facility for PM's and Discussion Tabs on every page if you have any concerns of any nature. Please use these in the first instance so we can have a reasonable dialogue prior to making any decisions.

It is a Public Wiki and as such it should be allowed to develop as freely as possible.

It is not owned by any one of us so we are all responsible for it to try and make it as user friendly as possible. That's all I ask...when you add to the Wiki just say to yourself "Is what I am adding going to be of help to someone and is it information I would have liked to have seen on my first visit". If the answer is yes, you are going to make a hugely important contribution

It is my pleasure to announce the addition of Metropolis_Man to the Wiki Organisers Team. Metros experience brought from many years of playing and creating tournaments for Eastern Sun will prove to be a massive benefit to all of us at the Wiki. I am sure everyone will join me in giving him a big welcome.

Speaking of which....

Dapaba's recent Bloodfang issue merely points out my overall goal as a Zy-El Organizer — get that wiki updated and current. I haven't been involved in Zy-El for probably more than two months yet, but I know most of my own questions could have been alleviated with more information readily available at my fingertips.

I think the reason the information about the new claw class of weapons hasn't been added to the Wiki yet is because they are mentioned on Page 3 of the Mod Guide and the veterans know about them anyway. Certainly some more information about them and some pics on the Wiki would be a nice addition and would help newcomers to the Mod. I'll see what I can come up with, whether I do it myself or pass the relevant information to you or one of the other organisers. If I haven't done anything about it within a few days please remind me.

Consider yourself reminded as of right now. Here's what I'm envisioning — a detailed list ala ES's Database of all Zy-El base items in the game containing the following information:

*Character level required for item
*STR/DEX requirements
*Max sockets

I'll will be happy to start assembling this and making the wiki pages myself. But, what I need from you is a comprehensive list of any discrepancies between Zy-El and Arreat Summit info (like the Bloodfang).

I'll compile a detailed list of the items I know of that differ substantially from the Arreat Summit items or are specific to Zy-El and send them to you.

What you are proposing is a mammoth undertaking for just one person as even the base item requirements differ from those for vanilla D2 that are listed at the Summit. I think we should actively encourage other members to help with this. It might be a good idea if you create the basic template for the pages and tables and then insist that everyone uses the same format. That way we should get a professional looking set of pages.

We, as Organizers, can encourage all we want, but it's undoubtedly going to come down to one/several of us doing the vast majority of the work. I have no idea how long the Zy-El wiki has been around, but considering this kind of info has yet to see the light of day, I'm simply tasking myself to do it. I await any info you can send my way, Al, and I'll get on it.

EDIT: Al, I can start typing in the info from the Arreat Summit and just edit changes to the document when I receive info from you as to the differences. I have no idea how to make tables on the wiki. Should I just make a generic text document for now, Al, that you or someone else can put into a spreadsheet and/or make pretty later?

Plain text for now will be fine but if you want to give it a go it isn't difficult to make tables on the Wiki. Use the "Text Editor" mode and for each column you want to make, use the symbols '||' and '||' with your text or whitespace between e.g.
