v1.2 (27 Oct 2011) Fixed walkable tile issue in Harrogath

This plugin contains reworked maps for Lut Gholein, Pandemonium Fortress & Harrogath, along with automaps for them.

Files included:


Lut Gholein:
data\global\tiles\act2\town\lutN.ds1 (map with north exit)
data\global\tiles\act2\town\lutW.ds1 (map with west exit)
data\global\ui\Automap\Act2Map.dc6 (new static Automap - fullscreen)
data\global\ui\Automap\Act2MapS.dc6 (new static Automap - mini-map)

Pandemonium Fortress:
data\global\tiles\act4\fort\fortress.ds1 (map)
data\global\ui\Automap\Act4Map.dc6 (new static Automap - fullscreen)
data\global\ui\Automap\Act4MapS.dc6 (new static Automap - mini-map)

Harrogath:
data\global\tiles\expansion\Town\TownWest.ds1 (map)

Lut Gholein:
This is just a standard looking Lut Gholein but with a number of changes to make it quicker and easier to get around & do things.
Everyone looks like they are somewhere they belong - I really hate maps where merchants must pull their items out of thin air...

Changes:
Central square made slightly smaller with a new entrance/exit on the east side.
Waypoint moved into cental square.
Spawn point moved near waypoint.
TP point just west of Atma.
Palace moved to former waypoint area.
Sewers trapdoor/Greiz moved to corner just west of Atma.
Warriv moved to just south of Palace.
Drognan now in middle of central square.
Elzix & Meshif just outside central square, through new hole in the wall.
Jerhyn's initial greeting position moved next to new spawn point.
Jerhyn & Atma are always outside now, no running into buildings to find them.
Whole dock area moved west a few tiles.
Stairs to sewers moved north, directly over from the east entrance to the square.
Tavern now has a beer garden on the east side for thirsty adventurers & heros...... ;)

The exits to the town are still in their old positions. The town itself is almost the same size overall that it was, except where I moved the dock, but everything you need is more central.

Pandemonium Fortress:
A more compact version.

Changes:
Got rid of the top section completly.
Slightly expanded the lower section.
Moved Cain, Tyreal, stash, waypoint & TP/spawn point to new area.
Shortened the stairs to the mesa.

Harrogath:
This is a re-edited version of the Harrogath plugin originally created by Xenast. I changed a few things around to make it more compact & quicker to navigate.

Changes:
Moved all the NPC's around.
Moved waypoint, stash, spawn point back inside the walls.
The view was nice but too much out of the way. ;)
Created a small central square where you will find most of what you need.
Added a few cosmetic changes.

Automaps:
I have include new static automaps for the towns. From my testing all seem correct.
The only issue could be that the maps are quite dark with fade turned off
- or maybe I'm just used to always using fade.
They look ok to me when faded.

Install:
Just copy the data folder into your D2 or mod folder.
If you haven't got changed versions of the above maps it should not overwrite anything.
Run the game in -direct -txt mode.

Uninstall:
Just delete the files listed above.

I know you've done a lot of work on these (thanks a lot!), but could you post a few screenshots? Not just for me - I think a lot of others might like to see what it looks like first.

those maps are pretty nice, I like them.
I found a little error in the Act V town map. I thought a screenshot would explain everything.
In red you see the walls that you can go through without any problem, and in green the floor area you can walk on.

Ok, updated original post to v1.2. This fixes the walkable tile issue in Harrogath found by kidpaddle94.

How did you create the automap for Act 2 Town? IE Did you link the automap entries directly to the DT1 so anyone who created a town using the tile set would automatically get the automap too or did you manually create the automap just for your map?

There is a tutorial by Volf on how to create new static automaps in the knowledge base.

Yep, theres a link to the tutorial at the end of the original post. Any time you change these maps you need to make a new automap as per the tutorial, it can't be generated automatically.
