Hi all,
I'm interested in changing the "You have died" message. It looks like it might be a .DC6 but I couldn't find anything in the MPQ files that seems like it would fit what I am looking for. Is there a way to change this message?
Thank you.

Have a look in the tbl files, IIRC it used a hardcoded string index in strings.tbl.

I opened up d2data.mpq with Ladik's mpq editor,
data -> local -> ui -> eng
Inside eng directory, I removed,
youdiedhardcore.dc6
youdiedinst.dc6
youdiedsoftcore.dc6
by removing those 3 files, I was able to remove "YOU HAVE DIED" message for 1.13c
