Dark Alliance 0.04.08.05.03 patch released

The first patch for preview version is released.


DISCLAIMER!!
There have been a major change to the game mechanic behind herbs.

Before you install the first patch for Dark Alliance preview version you will need to make sure any old herbs is removed from your character before you install the patch.

Any old herbs on your character will cause it to be incompatible and not possible to load.

If you have forgot to remove any herb after install the patch. You can downgrade to preview version again to remove it and reapply the patch.

How to install?

Make sure you have preview version installed before install the patch.

Install this patch to the directorty where you have your Dark Alliance preview version installed.


BugFixes

- Subquest: Kill Palgmor is now fully working again. You no longer complete the quest by kill a quillrat. Instead you need beat the thief Palgmor as intended.
- Subquest: Adept's Way: the cubepart of the quest is no longer produce the wrong output.
- Subquest: Unnatural Strength is now giving the correct reward after materials have been hand in.
- Subquest: Adept's Way (Sorceress). After summoning and kill Ursu he now correctly drop his heart.
- Subquest: A disease (Sorceress). Is now given to a player who reach atleast level 10.
- Subquest: Unnatural Strength is now correctly giving the scroll to summon the unique horned demon.
- Subquest: Charsi's Chest is now possible to end correctly.
- NPC Margosh is now using the correct introduction message.
- 640x480 mode is now correctly display the stats in character screen.
- Barbaric Light plate is now using the correct inventory image.
- Paladin Skill: Exploding Crush is now using the correct pre-requirement.
- Sorceress skill: Lightning is now using the correct pre-requirement skill.
- Sorceress: Heal other skill is now correctly working.
- Druid: Werewolf skill is now correctly applied the static +20% Movement bonus.
- Character Screen: Inferno Skill is now correctly display it's average damage.
- Character Screen: Enchant is now correctly display it's damage.
- Spellscroll demonic strength is no longer display damage in character screen.
- Magic Light scroll is now correctly cast the spell on right click everytime.
- Start items is no longer set to level 2 req if Assemic Prefix is spawned on it.
- Arrows is now correctly autopick from ground to inventory.
- Non magic items is no longer flagged as unidentified.
- Cain's Spell Unlocker scroll is now correctly cast the spell on right click everytime.
- Oil of Defense: Is no longer display "/blue" in it's item description.
- Oil of the Lich King is now display correctly description.
- Empty Parchment is no longer flagged as a spellscroll.
- Taran's Unstable elixir is now correctly adding a random level 1 skill for Paladin and Druid.
- Pool Boots (sorceress class item) is no longer spawned with Frozen Armor skill.
- Skull no longer cause a crash then you hover over it.
- Cow's Friendship ring is now correctly flagged with soulbound flag.
- Poison Spider Leg is now correctly line up in inventory.
- Dark Boots is no longer change item graphics on upgraded item.
- Dark Boots is now correcty flagged as monster item.
- Acid Beast leg is now using correct image.
- Mutant Club is now correctly flagged as monster item.
- Brute Eye is no longer spelled as bruteb eye.
- Missing "Legendary Ring" description is added to unique ring of possession.
- Legend points gained at level 5 is now giving the correct legend points.
- Tristram map is no longer display memphisto's portal symbol on minimap.
- Blood Wood: The bridge on the Blood Elf map no longer have rails that you can pass through.
- Corrected a bug that could cause portal to crash if destination portal failed to spawn.
- A new created sorceress is no longer able to use a portal to badlands.
- Can only equip one unique item feature is now working correctly.
- Corrected a bug in cubemain code that made regular recipes not working.
- Carin Stone is now correctly spawn the portal after complete the quest in a new game.
- In multiplayer the ip adress (in right corner text) is no longer get overwritten by Dark Alliance string.
- Acid Beast champion is no longer dropping a veteran spleen bodypart.
- Valley of Cows: Monsters is no longer possible to spawn outside map.
- Magical Chest is no longer using the global no drop chance that could cause quest item to not drop.
- Corrected a few monster who was able to drop monster parts they shouldn't.
- Added missing treasureclass for Vile Archer Elite, Chilling Corpse Leader, and Hungry Dead Leader.
- NPC: Weapon Crafting is no longer freeze the game. If you try enchant an equipped weapon while your inventory is full.
- Vincent Lockheart, The Haunted One soul is now correctly named.
- Village Portals no longer crash then cast.
- Game no longer crash then a character die.
- Idenitify Option at Cain is now correctly hidden after used.


Balance Changes

- Hirelings levelup rate slighely been increased.
- Hireling base dexterity and strength been lowered. But, now hireling gain stats more frequently. All resistance and resistance per level been lowered.
- Taran's Unstable Elixir is now increase a random level 1 skill two levels.
- Abyssal Blade have got strength requirement raised from 1 to 24 and dexterity requirement from 1 to 14.
- Herb: +3-6 Damage have got it's price increased from 40 to 60.
- Herb: +2 Min damage got it's price lowered from 55 to 48.
- Herb: +3 Max damage got it's price lowered from 55 to 52.
- Herb: +4-8 Damage have got it's price increased from 75 to 100.
- Combat Herb: +50% chance to hit, +5-15 damage got it's price increased from 50 to 200.
- Sorceress: Ice Dagger - Ice Blast and Blizzard is no longer in synergy with Ice Dagger.
- Sorceress: Ice Blast - Ice Dagger is no longer in synergy with Ice Blast.
- Sorceress: Glacial Spike - Ice Blast is no longer in synergy with Glacial Spike.
- Sorceress: Willpower - Life gain per level increased from 3 to 5. Mana gain per level increased from 7 to 10.
- Druid: Backbone - Life gain per level increased from 7 to 10. Mana gain per level increased from 3 to 5.
- Paladin: Courage - Life gain per level increased from 10 to 15.
- Druid's Bestial Resilience: base regeneration lowered from 10% to 5%. Gain +2% health regeneration per level.
- The monster density is increased in The Nadara Fortress.
- Almira have got it's health doubled and damage increased.
- Almira's Bomb Minions have got it's health and damage increased.
- Valley of Cows monster density is increased.
- Honor Runeword require now one less rune to complete the runeword.
- Uruk, Demon Gatekeeper: Remove his immune to fire resistance and replace with 50% Fire Resistance. +15% Magic Resistance added.
- Flesh Amulet: Reduced the base crushing blow from +15% to +5%.
- Mutant Club: +5% chance to cast level 1 firestorm then struck changed to +5% chance to cast level 1 firestorm on hit.


Sorceress low-level skills:

- Fingers of Fire initial mana cost lowered from 2 to 1.5.
- Ice Dagger initial mana cost lowered from 2.5 to 2.
- Charged Bolt initial mana cost lowered from 3 to 2.5.
- Magic Missile initial mana cost lowered from 4 to 3.
- Magical Armor initial mana cost lowered from 10 to 8.
- Thunder Kick initial mana cost lowered from 4 to 1. Mana per level added.
- Familiar: Adds +10% to base mana initial. Damage taken to yourself lowered from 25% to 20%. Initial magic damage changed from 1-4 to 1-6.


Druid low-level skills:

Druidic Blood initial mana cost lowered from 15 to 12.
Raven initial mana cost lowered from 6 to 5. Mana per level added.
Poison Creeper initial mana cost lowered from 8 to 7. Mana per level added.
Cat's Paw initial mana cost lowered from 15 to 12. Mana per level added.
FOrest Burn initial mana cost lowered from 4 to 3.
Stone Armor initial mana cost lowered from 12 to 10. Mana per level added.
Wind's Favor initial mana cost lowered from 4 to 3.


Graphics changes

- Skill: Charge bolt icon is no longer contain 3 green pixels.
- Inventory is no longer contain a non-accessable row at the right and bottom of the inventory.
- 800x600 Border got new palette applied.
- Character inventory got new palette applied.
- Small icons in upper screen then own a summon have got their graphics improved or palatte corrected.
The following have been updated: Earth Elemental, Elemental, Familiar, Guardian, Imp, Succubus, Wyvern.
- Druid skill icons got new palette applied and all icons with transparent pixels been corrected.
- Paladin skill icons got new palette applied and all icons with transparent pixels been corrected.
- Sorceress skill icons got new palette applied and all icons with transparent pixels been corrected.
- General skill icons got new palette applied and all icons with transparent pixels been corrected.
- Applied new palette to about 65 items that was using wrong act depended palette.
- Barbarian Skill Tree background added.
- RogueSuit have got new inventory graphic.
- Several unique only oils have got their inventory image corrected.


Spelling Issues

- Adept's Way (Paladin): changed the word "small skull" to "chipped skull".
- Scroll of Earth Blend: "Then you have full stamina" have been corrected to "when you have full stamina".
- Margosh: in the Badlands Diablo is free, he one time says "Bandlands" have been corrected to "Badlands".
- Unnatural Strength subquest: "mterials" have been corrected to "materials".
- Cluescroll: Page 25 "about the how to" been corrected to "about how to".
- Subquest: Adept's Way (Sorceress): "empty pargement" been changed to "empty parchment".
- Subquest: Adept's Way (Druid) have been rewritten.
- Subquest: The Executioner: The inital Darkness of Tome text have been rewritten.
- Subquest: The Adept's Way (Paladin) The Adepts Way: text have been rewritten.
- Cluescroll: Page 87: is now correctly add a "a" before thrown weapon.


Improvements

Misc:

- A new chest have been added into the countess room.
- Enable/Disable characters have now been moved into c++ to simplify enable/disable a class.
- A new druid class quest have been added. To start this quest the player need to have reach atleat level 10.
- A new level been added for the druid class quest.
- Code been updated to handle snow weather in any level.
- Body parts: All special monster classes have got their class type added into the body part's name.
- The color changed on special monster classes bodyparts to orange.
- A new sorceress class quest have been added. To start this quest the player need to have reach atleast level 10.
- A new paladin class quest have been added. To start this quest the player need to have reach atleast level 10.
- Druid: Werewolf gain extra experience while transformed is currently disabled.
- The Gamble list have been updated and only contain items from first chapter.
- Akara is no longer selling combat herbs.
- Akara is no longer selling healing herbs.
- A new druid only cuberecipe have been added.
- Then you using Akara's set and unique scrolls it will give a display if magic power is to high for the scrolls.
- Magic Prefix: All +class skills been corrected. old no longer in use class skills is no longer spawnable.
- NPC's that is selling village portal scrolls is now always selling it and never running out of stock.
- Cain have a new trade option to trade for a magical light. This option is only enabled if you are or completed the quest related to it.
- Book of Story: Added right click to read in description.
- Mysterious Shrine added to the Wastes.
- Changed Gnarled Old Tree's non quest text to less confusing. He is no longer talk about the quest then player aren't on it.

- Added missing monster parts for following monsters.
Undead Templar, Gargoyle Leader, Fire Elemental Sphere, Fire Elemental Veteran Spehre, Efreet Sphere,
Blood Lord, Venom Lord, Blood Guard, Leopard, Elysia Greenwood, Nezzermoth.
Fleshhound's Fang added as missing monster part drop.

- Added recipes for special monster classes.
New Monster Crafted Oil Recipes
New Crafted Monster Amulets.
New Crafted Monster Rings.
New Monster craft recipe for Stormrider claw.
- Implemented new code to handle stackable herbs, potions.
- Implemented custom code to add quantity together with spelldesc.
- New Monster Item: Chilling Gloves (dropped by Chilling Zombies).

- Added new cluescrolls for the new recipes.
- Implemented the continue subquest for Charsi's Key.
- added a new custom display for monsters that displays Immune to Stonecurse and other custom displays.
- Old herbs been improved and is now stackable.
- Added a few new herbs.


Items:
- Ashigara (Unique eagle orb): Level 3 Summon Wolf been replaced with Level 3 Imp, Level 2 Frozen Armor been replaced with level 2 Magical Armor.
- Greaves is no longer accessable in first chapter.


Subquest system:

- NPC's now is able to wait with give a subquest depend on a player's level.
- For non random subquests all NPC's have now a min player level before they hand out the quest. This to reflect more about difficulty then the player obtain the quest.
- Subquests can now be used with cube to cast a custom portal.


Cuberecipes:

- Sword of the Leech: Corrected a typo recipe that made recipe not working. It will now output same sword type as input.
- Sword of the Mana Leech: It will now output same sword type as input.
- Antidote: Now require an empty vial as additional material requirement.
- Rejuvenation Potion: Total materials reduced, empty vial added as additional material requirement.
- Add random socket recipes: is require a Tir rune instead of an Eth rune.
- Quiver of Sharp Arrow: Corrected a typo in recipe that made recipe not working.
- Smithery (Improved missile weapon): Corrected a typo in recipe that made recipe not working.
