There are two stats in MetalStorm, one comming from vanilla D2 (but changed in how it works) and another that is new. Damage-Taken-Heals-Mana and Damage-Taken-Done-To-Mana
The former is from D2, and replenishes mana by a % of the damage you've just suffered.
The second stat works like a constant mana shield effect, that is, the damage is shifted away from life and deal to the mana pool, so if an attack hits you, the indicated amount of damage is subtracted from mana (thus having 100% of this stat means all damage you take is done to mana, unless your mana pool is empty/drained by the attack, in this case it is dealt to life). This will not allow you to shift life cost of black magic spells that require life to cast to mana (intentional).

So it's basically a mana shield for other classes than Sorc? Sounds good to me
