help please!!!

hi, i was trying to install DWX but when i copied the icon there was no target line or anything dscribed in the installation guidelines and im sorta clueless about this stuff...can someone point out what im doing wrong? this is what i did : dled the mod, then i madea DWX folder and unziped the mod into the folder. then i took my diablo2 icon and copied it onto my destop. then i changed its name to DWX and when i clicked properties it had a buncha crap that wasnt in the description. im on windows 98 second edition if thats the problem...

Here is a better explanation

Take your original D2 icon.

Right click and drag to another spot on your desktop.

Release the RMB.

Choose "Copy Here"

Right click the copy, choose "Properties"

Then follow the rest of the install guide.

I tried that but when i did that it didnt show a target line in the properties, it just showed a description of the icon...

When you copy your original icon and right click it for properties you then click change icon, then get the new icon. Then click ok , then you will be able to right click it to get the properties.

whereabouts is the 'change icon' button becuase i cant find it in properties...

Well i'm using Xp and when I right click for the properties I get a button that says change icon then I can browse for new icon I want.

oh..hehe...wonder what im doing wrong...all my frineds are playing it and bragging about thier great item drops and i have to suffer....i want a cracked sash too!!!!

I cant help you with your icon problem other than telling you to CAREFULLY go over the instructions just ONE more time.

You are the first to have an issue with it AFAIK.

I finally got it working but i didnt copy my diablo2 icon, i just made a shortcut and all that title line and directory stuff came out...are you sure you mean 'copy' instead of 'create shortcut' ?

I can copy an existing icon and edit the target and start locations.

I am enjoying it its a really good mod and i gotta thank you 1000 times for making such a great mod. i especially like the new gems ^^
