I was starting a new character with a friend the other day and he went to get healed at akara, after taking sustained quill rat fire. I said "You wish." And he replied back "I wish what?" With a now full health bar. Is akara supposed to heal? It seems rather counter to this game's philosophy that she would. I'm thinking it's a bug, anyways it happened in a tcp/ip game and it doesnt seem to happen in solo, though I suppose I've never talked to akara ^_^.
Just thought I'd let you know.

No, she is functioning fine. She used to be disabled, but in order to complete all quests, I had to enable her again.
When starting, it can be rough. If you can make it back to town, its okay to be healed.
Since TP's are non-existant for the most part (They sometimes spawn in the Jail/Barracks/Catacombs), running back and forth to a WP to get healed is a lot of work.
Since I wanted to achieve the experience without modding any .dll's, I decided to leave it in.
