Sidebar on the forums permanent?
Hey PH.
I was wondering if there could be a way of keeping the sidebar (right side) open when browsing the forums.
I have a high res. on my screen (1920x1200) and therefor the forum itself is very wide - the "cut" the sidebare makes helps me with those long sentences.
Any help or way you could implant this?
Thanks.

Re: Sidebar on the forums permanent?
just use the little arrows at the top just below the main header on either side, and it'll stay open (this is what I have going, no problems)

Re: Sidebar on the forums permanent?
Making the right sidebar permanently visible (like the left one) is a global setting, so if I do it, it will show this way for everyone. Per user configuration is not possible. As Necrolis said, use the arrow buttons.

Using the arrow buttons only makes it visible pr. side load - clicking any link, thread or anything what so ever in the forums makes it disappear - can't you like enable some cookies for the setting?

Like, no, I can't. As I said, per user configuration is not possible.

I am using high resolution too, but the screen is so wide that it does not acutally matter if the sidebar is open/closed
90% of sentences usually end in the middle of screen
You may zoom-in the whole page if you need. I think the browsers support it and remember the whole page

I could do so Mirecek - but I accatly like a widepage for a change - but the minor change that the sidebar make is just what I need personal. =)
Re: Sidebar on the forums permanent?
I'm glad I can switch them on/off for 2 reasons:
1. No net @ home so I print a lot of stuff to pdf so i have it fo reference.
2. I'm using a mobile phone mostly for the net & being able to hide the bars is a great help.
Cheers.
