D2 LOD Character Skins

I personally do not know much about how D2 LOD Modding works, but I've been doing research for the past week and something I have never been able to find much on is Diablo 2 LOD Character Skins. I'm not sure if it just isn't possible, or if no one has wanted to do it, but I wanted to ask if anyone knew anything of there being any actual Skin Customization Mods for characters.
