Also, from the Known bugs section of the Main Site page:
1 > What was your character doing at the time of the crash?
Before I was getting the crash in character selection menu I was at the burial grounds. ( There was an explosion shrine in the blood moor and I picked up all the potions, had ~10 from the shrine, some games later there were 400 of them ?, I decided to use those throwing potions since my ~13 skeletons die way too fast ( I hope skeleton mastery boosts them nicely )). At the burial grounds there was a mushroom unique with lightning mod, I died 2x there, after the second death I left game ( without picking up my body ) and wanted to create new game. Error.
2 > What class and level is your character?
Necromancer, 15.
3 > What monsters were involved or in the area?
Mushroom unique.
4 > What map was your character on?
Burial grounds.
5 > What game difficulty were you playing on?
Normal.
6 > Were you playing single-player or TCP/IP?
Single-player.
7 > What is the general configuration of your computer? OS? RAM? Video card?
Windows 7, for the RAM and Video card look up.
I'm not sure, but I think it's because of those explosive potions, there were ~10 of them, some games later 400.
I hope there is a solution for this, every time I want to create a game with my necromancer I get this error.
Thanks in advance,

Either your stash is corrupted or you may have the same map config which can be fixed in your plugy.ini file.

Re: Entering World Crash
I've deleted all character files except .d2s and at the plugy.ini ( AlwaysRegenMapInSP=1 ) but I receive error every time I want to create a game. ( Only with my necromancer ).
Anything else I could try or do I need to create a new necromancer ?

Re: Entering World Crash
Hmmm If it's just a CRC check issue that is fixable; If not, I might be able to manually copy binary information over to a new character d2s... However equipment is likely going to be lost, probably all allocations, waypoints etc; You'd only get to keep your level. Hmmm... Doesn't seem like it would help much.
If you have a couple posters (Celebrity preferably) then 15 levels isn't anything you'll miss.

I glimpse between the lines of code and see a world you may never know. Rules are subject to my control, Structures I can break or build, and in the end I determine the quality of my work, be it mud or crystal, diamond or stone.
Re: Entering World Crash
Are you still having an issue? It's possible that you have an equipment error or too many minions out. I'm thinking it's the former rather than the latter.

Re: Entering World Crash
I am having this same error, Level 46 Barbarian. error encountered at game startup selecting this character. last save was in the maggot lair. was using the exploding potions as well, I'm wondering if there is a connection there. this has happened to several characters, playing on different hardware. I'm exasperated. I realize this is an old thread but is there anyone out there with any suggestions? I"m happy to provide more info.
