Prepare for Patch 1.10 Now

With the patch just around the corner, we all have to keep in mind few (if any) mods will work with the new patch. There are many significant file changes and a whole new set of DLLs to worry about. Staying in 1.09x is only feasible if you don't connect to Battle.net, otherwise you will get updated.

There are several ways to handle version switching, but you need to have the files to do it. Make a separate directory (Version 1.09 is a reasonable name) and copy into it Game.exe, all DLLs and patch_D2.mpq. That way, whichever system you use for alternating between 1.09 and 1.10 you will have the necessary files without having to reinstall. (It also ensures you have a reference set in case a 1.09x installation gets corrupted too.)
