They already messed up any player and game driven economy by introducing "Runestones". See my comments in this thread. This addition of using PayPal for the "Auction Houses" just makes the whole thing 10 x worse 
The fact that there will be no modding support, you have to be online even to play single player and many other stupid changes they have introduced means I probably will not play it.

The news from the past month really has been a big negative for me, but the Beta streams did help to calm some of the negatives. I would likely be playing HC and just SC for the clan I am a member of. I will likely do a lot of free crafting for them especially if they help with the gathering of supplies needed. I will not be using the AH or not even the trade window but just give away items that I do not need and if someone needs the item. Of course it will be to limited people.
I have not decided yet if I will buy it. I will buy Torchlight 2 when it comes out. I recently bought Torchlight and I am enjoying it.
