i have installed tbf in linux with wine. but it refuses to accept that the cd is there (despite having just been used to install)...
i presume no-cd requests are still frowned upon here, despite d2 now offering that for the past couple versions.
i'm just wondering if there's some other way to get it to recognize the legitimacy of my discs, and get past this (what i presume is) copy protection fail.
anyone else encounter such issues? know a good work around?
this is not a no-cd crack request

Did you remember to copy all the mpqs from the disks to your diabloII directory?

I have had Zy-El running on Ubuntu using wine. It was quite some time ago.
You may need to check the wine settings.
With the 4.4 series of the mod it can take a very long time to load especially if using wine. Also you may need to check if you have video card drivers directly from ATI/nVidia since those drivers will boost your video card. You may also want to try running in windowed mode. I had to do that with my notebook since ATI does not support the video card anymore.
