[1.13c] How to increase Skill 255 rollover/cap?

[1.13c] How to increase Skill 255 rollover/cap?

Two questions:
1) At skill level 257, the skill is displayed as 1. At skill level 1010, the skill is displayed as 242. How to display a skill greater than 255? (v1.13c)
2) How to save skill values greater than 255 in a save file? Is it possible to expand the skill values in the save file from 1 to -> 2 bytes?
