actually, what you read was probably that the maximum level for skills is 50.

I am currently working on a dll change that gives the player an additional skill point every 50 levels gained, though.

the latest version only has one skill for each class other than the transformatioins, That is something I'm working on a lot recently, just to make it more playable for the people who want to try the alpahs.

sorry for the long absence, I've been busy with school and other stuff. Currently I'm working on skills (STILL! lol) The big ones are the generic ones (Attack, Kick, Throw, Unsummon) I am working on making them upgradeable, but am hitting snags as I go. The biggest one is Attack, as it has no reference in charstats.txt, so I can't create a new skill to add to skill pages in place of it.

Once it is ready to be a full release it will be playable as multiplayer, but some balancing will be done for realm server mpq files.

yes, the mod works for ALL versions of 1.10 (including the betas), though it will not be compatible with other mods, or with lod for character crossover. (i.e. you can't create a character in this mod, then play it in another mod, or in LoD. This is because of the changes to the itemstatcost.txt file that affect character save files.)

You said:
"Version 1.04a is now available for download at the site. "
...but, it's not there.

which skills exactly, crash the game, and at what point? Does it happen when you try to put points into them, or when you select them from the speed bar? I remember from when I was testing some skills that certain ones would crash the game when you opened the speed bar, but I thought I had fixed those problems. Mostly those were faulty skilldesc entries.

Re: Status Updates

Post by reiyo_oki » Mon Mar 29, 2004 7:32 pm

a little update for those in need of news

-I have fixed the hireling bug, they no longer crash the game when hired.
-I implemented two new useful plugins into the mod: HashCasper's hireling plugin, and PlugY (gives multi-page stashes, and shared stashes.) The shared stash will be available only in single player mode, or in open battle.net and TCP/IP games (only items in the LOCAL stash will be available in multiplayer games allowing shared stashes). For realm use, if it ever happens that someone creates a private realm for this mod, I will be disabling the shared stashes, as they would make it too easy to steal items, and thus inhibit realm play.
-New unique items added (These uniques are "special", they add bonuses to one another when you equip more of them, similar to set items. The difference is that there are more than six of these items)
  • Shur'Tugal's Luck (Large Charm)
    Shur'Tugal's Power (Ring)
    Shur'Tugal's Essence (Amulet)
    Shur'Tugal's Fang (Crystal Sword)
    Shur'Tugal's Wing (Gothic Shield)
    Shur'Tugal's Talisman (Pendant Ring)
    More to come...
-Elemental Beasts removed as monsters, and implemented as spirit pets/familiars. Each one will grant various bonuses to its owner, and have a corresponding attack-aura such as holy freeze/shock/fire

I literally meant, "all". There was still only one skill icon per tab, just so you know.

I'll see what I can do over the weekend to fix it. The link should work by Wednesday at the latest.
He is working on it for us.
